Guided Tours Start at 1:30pm (roughly 1-1/2 hours) Guided tours include visits at most of our main animal barns with opportunities to meet some of our 600+ rescued animals. Tours offer a wealth of information for visitors, plenty of time for asking questions, and are appropriate for guests of any age, though we will touch on the reasons why our animals needed to be rescued and families with small children may prefer the option for a self-guided tour where they can go at their own pace. There is quite a bit of walking on the guided tour, but there is the option for visitors to drive between barns if needed, just check in with the tour guide at the beginning.
Flexible Visiting Time from 1:00pm – 3:00pm Flexible visits are available for guests who want to go at their own pace within the two hour window allotted and are often preferred by families with young children who may not have the attention span to go on a longer tour. Self-guided visitors may go to many our main animal barns (where caregivers will be stationed to answer questions, enforce safety rules, etc.) with opportunities to meet some of our 650+ rescued animals. Please make sure to check in at the welcome table when you arrive to sign in and get important safety instructions, a sanctuary map, and more.

Please drive slowly and safely up the main driveway, watching out for animals and people at all time. The driveway is nearly 1/2 mile long, going up a steep hill at times. Keep driving all the way up the hill until it makes a big U-shaped turn around a long, white building. This building is our People Barn. After parking, Please Check in at People Barn First. There are no designated parking spots for events, with parking along the right side of the driveway at the top of the hill, please make sure that you aren’t blocking the driveway or any other vehicles. Please check around your vehicle for animals before leaving. Public, accessible restroom available.
Please check out our General Visiting Guidelines page for safety rules and more info when planning your visit.
Special Access for Monthly Donors
Saturday Sanctuary Strolls for Monthly Donors from 1pm-3pm in June, July, & August As a special monthly donor, we’re opening our shelter gates to you on Saturday afternoons from 1pm-3pm each Saturday in June, July, and August. No reservations are required, and please feel free to bring friends or family if you’d like. Upon arrival, you will need to check-in at the people barn and after that, you are free to stroll around the sanctuary, visiting with the animals over the fences, all while getting a glimpse of our caregiving staff hard at work. Feel free to bring a vegan lunch to enjoy in one of our picnic areas. Please do not feed the animals.
Monthly Donor Picnic: Sunday, June 28 & Sunday, August 23, 2026 12pm-2pm
All monthly donors are invited to share in a picnic lunch and sanctuary stroll on two separate days in the summer. Drinks and food will be provided, but please feel free to bring additional vegan lunch items to enjoy. After lunch, enjoy time with the animals. Please email: melissa@peaceridgesanctuary.org if you’re a monthly donor who wants to attend, along with a note of how many people you are expecting, so we can plan accordingly.
