Founded in 2001, Peace Ridge Sanctuary runs the largest animal shelter and sanctuary system on the eastern seaboard. Our facilities are licensed by the State of Maine Department of Agriculture and are accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.
Peace Ridge is an internationally recognized model in the animal sanctuary movement. We care for many hundreds of animals at our facilities, conserve and protect two thousand acres of habitat for wildlife, and actively promote animal rights.
