We rely on our donors’ generous support to make our lifesaving work possible. Donating your vehicle will help ensure that our animal residents get the happy endings they deserve! Your vehicle will be picked up for free and if you are an itemizing taxpayer you will receive a tax deduction for the sale value of your vehicle.

Q: What can I donate?
A: We accept most vehicles and vessels including but not limited to cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RVs.
Q: My vehicle hasn’t run in years. Can I still donate it?
A: Yes, we are able to accept most vehicles running or not (exceptions include older vehicles whose value would not offset the cost of towing). To find out if we can accept your vehicle, please contact us.
Q: What will you do with my vehicle?
A: Donated vehicles may be retained and used by the sanctuary or sold through the used-car markets. Our vehicle donation program partner works with a very large network of nationwide and independent suppliers to sell the vehicle and maximize donation proceeds. This includes analyzing vendor pricing and performance on a regular basis to improve the process and ensure the best possible return for our nonprofit partners and to maximize their donors' tax benefit. For unique or specialty items that have been donated, we may use other means to sell the vehicle to help ensure the maximum funds are received for each donation.
Q: What paperwork do I need to donate my vehicle?
A: We would like the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it please call us anyway. It is possible that other arrangements may be made.
Q: Can you pick up vehicles in all 50 states?
A: Yes, we are able to pick up accepted vehicles in the continental U.S. and Hawaii.
Q: How will my car be picked up?
A: We will arrange to have your vehicle towed away by a professionally licensed, bonded, and insured towing company.
Q: Is my donation tax deductible?
A: Yes, vehicle and vessel donations made to us are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
Q: How does my tax deduction work?
A: The IRS allows you, the taxpayer, to claim a tax deduction of (a) the value of your vehicle up to $500 or (b) if we sell the vehicle for more than $500 we will mail you a postcard with that value for your tax purposes.
